Restoring Fathers Vision

RESTORING FATHERS IS COMPELLED TO RESTORE THE PURPOSE, HOPE, AND JOY OF FAMILIES BY GUIDING AND INSPIRING FATHERS TO PASS ON A LIFE-GIVING LEGACY.

Partner with us:

We are Honor to join the efforts of the HELP Pregnancy Center to turn the hearts of fathers towards their children. We will do this through teaching and mentorship relationships with the local churches to model the purpose, hope, and joy of families by guiding and inspiring these fathers to pass on a life-giving legacy.

Saving an unborn child is the first essential step, but without the father’s influence we often fail to see true transformation and a legacy of faith that continues in generations to come (Ps 78:5-6 / Mal 4:6).

If you would like to partner with us please see instruction on our Give page and PLEASE PRAY with us for this vision to be accomplished as we:

  • Pray,
  • Pursue fathers, and
  • Partner with churches to Restore the Hearts of Fathers!

Our Story:

In the pursuit of this passion, the Lord opened the door for us to serve at the H.E.L.P. Pregnancy Center of Monroe NC . God opened our hearts to see that pregnancies are not only an opportunity to minister to the mothers, but an amazing opportunity to restore the hearts of fathers to the responsibility and privilege of fatherhood.

The pregnancy center sees over 2000 clients every year, and yet only a handful of connections are made with the fathers. We commend these mothers that have made godly decisions and amazing sacrifices to support their children but God never intended for mothers to do it alone.

The Scriptures teach that turning the hearts of fathers back towards their children is one of the most powerful pictures of the gospel and has drastic effect on the home, the nation, and the generations to come. Luke 1:17, which is the fulfillment of Malachi 4:6, says,

he will go as a forerunner … in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, …to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

So how is a father’s influence as powerful as the life of the prophet Elijah? Our earthly father is our first impression of the heavenly father. The father/child relationship is a portrait of the Gospel. God the father turned His heart toward us and then our hearts are turned to Him. The father/child relationship is not really the BIGGEST deal. This relationship is the shadow of the BIGGEST deal --the Gospel. Preparing our children for the Lord!

Statistics match the Biblical importance of a father’s influence by showing that:

  • 90% of those incarcerated come from fatherless homes and
  • 90% of the women who have had an abortion said they would not have done it if the father would have been supportive of the pregnancy.

Brad's Story:

This passion to restore the hearts of fathers  was first birthed in me through my conversion story. God used a crisis in my father’s life to turn his heart toward God, his wife, and his children. Then the Lord placed mentors in his life that modeled a relationship with God that my father had never experienced. This powerful picture of the Gospel through my father was a forerunner to turn my heart towards both my earthly and my heavenly father.

Then on a prayer retreat in 2001, the Lord impressed “turning the hearts of fathers back towards their children” as a focus for our ministry:

And he will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse (Malachi 4:6 also Luke 1:17).

Through the years in pastoral ministry my family and I have accomplished this through equipping, encouraging, and engaging parents as the primary disciple makers of their children. The passion continued to kindle as I worked for a season in corporate America and running my own business. The Lord then connected me with H.E.L.P. Pregnancy Center. The center had been praying for a ministry to reach the fathers of the pregnancies, and we both agreed that our connection and the timing was the Lord’s work.

My wife and I have four children. A few year ago we moved back to the family farm with the hopes of restoring it to be used to connect the hearts of families to God and each other.
